Meet Kendall Sigman who plays Ariel in Damascus Theatre Company’s production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid November 10-19 in Olney.
This is Kendall’s fourth show with DTC. She also performed in Annie, The Drowsy Chaperone and Children of Eden. She has also worked with the Fredericktowne Players, and will soon start her third show in a row as their choreographer.
She has loved The Little Mermaid since she was a very young child. “My parents said we went through three or four VHS tapes of the movie because I watched is so much. I love the music and I love Ariel and Flounder.”
Kendall’s version of Ariel is just a curious girl who wants to know about everything and wants to see “the other side.” She is the tie between land and sea. In the show, she gets the best of both worlds. She has her family and her friend Flounder under the sea, but gains legs and gets to live in the human world too. But at what price?
Fun Fact: Kendall has Ariel tattooed on her left rib!
Join Kendall and the rest of the cast and crew at the show!
